Butare is the 2nd city of Rwanda. It is located in the south-east at 135 km from Kigali, the capital city. The system of transportation from Kigali to Butare is perfect with many buses coming back and forth.
With the Museum, National University of Rwanda, many secondary schools and major research centers; Butare is considered as a very intellectual city.
